G Adventures came from a desire to deliver authentic and responsible small group travel adventures that were equally life-changing for travellers and the...more communities they visit. And we’re been doing just that for almost 30 years. Our award-winning trips span seven continents and over 100 countries, giving you meaningful experiences with people, cultures, landscapes and wildlife, as well as offering you the freedom and flexibility to explore on your own. On all of our tours, you get to know locals every step of the way, from the places you visit and stay to where you eat and drink. You’ll also get to experience our ‘G for Good’ social impact initiatives on-trip, including our industry-leading ‘Ripple Score’. This score measures, as a percentage, the amount of money that stays in the local community through on-trip services like accommodation, restaurants and transport.
Since 2005, we’ve been creating life changing travel experiences for 18-40+ year olds. Our group tours are designed to help you connect, explore, taste...more and give back to the world, all whilst making a new crew of mates along the way. We’re a little different to your standard big tour operator. We spend endless hours finding the best accommodation and the best experiences, many of which we create from scratch with our local partners to give you a truly unique experience. While our trips are laid back and relaxed with plenty of time to do your own thing, we don’t pad out our itineraries with loads of free time to explore or optional activities like other operators. Everything you'd want plus some special surprises are always included.

Wonderful Indian Pacific train journey across Australia Denise, QLD, Australia, Dec 2024
I travelled in a gold single cabin on the Indian Pacific train journey. Wonderful staff who are extremely helpful and friendly to the extent that when the air conditioning deteriorated in our dining car they went above and beyond and offered us 3 options of dining on the 2nd night: we could still eat in the extremely hot dining car; have room service ...read more in our rooms or the most popular option was "have a party in the lounge carriage": the staff brought out platters of everything on the dinner menu in bite sized portions, including servings of salad and vegetables, with normal whole servings of desserts.
The customer service manager for our 4 carriages arranged for the musician to perform an unscheduled set for us and she raided the Platinum bar and provided many bottles of Bollinger champagne. They well and truly created a party atmosphere - we didn't go hungry and the champagne flowed! All carriages were very clean and tidy, the food was fabulous - great variety, very good quality and great service. The bed was comfortable but I found the noise of the train made it difficult to sleep. I think as well as the chocolate that's placed on your bed each night they should also provide ear plugs.
A quick stop in Adelaide where I enjoyed the opportunity to visit Adelaide Central Markets. The Blue Mountains off train experience was great - skyway, cable car, the world's steepest passenger train and lunch. The evening stop in Kalgoorlie was a waste of time as we couldn't see anything in the dark. We got off the train some time after 9pm and didn't re-board till 12.50am! I hope to do another train journey in the future but will definitely source ear plugs!
West Coast Tasmania Roslyn, QLD, Australia, Nov 2024
We were blessed with fine and mild weather - so November is a good month to visit Tasmania, in general. With only seven days to fit in so much, APT selected the best of a range of activities. My personal likes was the Gordon River/Macquarie Harbour Cruise and of course two nights stay at Cradle Mountain (Resort) - authentic Tassie. To combine this with ...read more the eight day East Coast tour gives you an excellent overview of what this Island has to offer visitors.
Tasmania Adventure Lee , VIC, Australia, Nov 2024
A good mix of travellers from Australia, New Zealand, England, Germany, Austria and Mongolia. Saw and learned a lot about Tasmania's beautiful scenery and wildlife. Accommodation is average with no wifi in the room. Food was average. It was a "one-man show" meaning the tour guide was also the driver, therefore, missed out on his scenic commentary as ...read more he was driving and we limit ourselves asking him questions so that he may concentrate on his driving. The van was old and broke down. Did not get a replacement van till 12pm which means half a day wasted! Intrepid was thoughtful to treat us an "apology meal".
The Indian Pacific - Perth To Sydney Harry and Marg, ACT, Australia, Nov 2024
Fellow travelers were an interesting mix of Aussies and overseas. Food was satisfactory. Some commentary on the scenery would have made it more interesting. The staff were wonderful. Sleepless nights and required early mornings left us feeling very exhausted. We expected a smoother ride. Overall not value for money. Global Journeys as always were h ...read moreelpful.
